To ensure your halter fits comfortably and securely, it’s important to measure your horse’s head accurately before choosing a size.

• A properly fitted halter should sit snugly but not tightly — secure without sliding or causing discomfort.
• Tip: Leave a little room for adjustment so the buckle can reach comfortably without straining.

✳️ Note: Measurements reflect the total strap length. For the cheekpieces, throatlatch, and chin strap, this is measured excluding hardware. For the crownpiece, it’s measured from the edge of the hardware to the end of the strap.

Each Part Explained

• Crownpiece (Poll strap)
  Goes over the top of the horse’s head, behind the ears.
  ➤ Measure from one cheek ring, over the poll, to the other cheek ring.

• Cheekpieces
  Run down each side of the horse’s face.
  ➤ Measure from below the ear to just above the noseband.

• Noseband
  Wraps around the horse’s muzzle.
  ➤ Measure around the nose, about 1–2 inches below the cheekbones.

• Throatlatch
  Passes under the horse’s jaw.
  ➤ Measure from one side (below the ear), under the jaw, to the other side.

• Chin Strap
  Runs under the nose between the cheekpieces.
  ➤ Measure straight across the underside of the nose.
